To get the most out of this site, a little background in two areas will be helpful: Gematria and Enochiana. Below you'll find concise overviews of each, followed by a brief explanation of how they interconnect here.

The Pieces at Play

Gematria

Gematria assigns each letter a number (A = 1, …, Z = 26) so every word has a numeric value. Identical totals imply symbolic connections:

• WISDOM → 83
• GNOSIS → 83

Pairs with equal values invite reflection on shared meaning. Operations include adding, multiplying, and digit reduction. Historically a meditation tool, gematria animates symbols for magical work.

Gematria as a Magical Tool

Common uses:

Consider AUDCAL (gold) and COLLAL (sleeves) both calculate to 138 using a particular cipher.

• As a meditation exercise, contemplating what the two might have in common is a traditional exercise.
• Within a ritual that avails itself of Enochiana, sleeves could be a stand-in for gold or vice versa.
• During a divinatory experience, sleeves could act as a stand-in for riches while gold could be a metaphor for hollowness.

Symbols become allies; numbers and words collaborate to manifest intent. The rules from which you work are arbitrary, but their consequences are not.

Enochiana

Enochiana is a complex set of magical systems received by John Dee and Edward Kelley in the late 16th century through spirit communications with angels. It combines language, ritual structure, cryptic symbols, and sacred geometry to facilitate communication with spiritual intelligences.

Core Components

• Angelic Language: A 21-letter revealed alphabet with unique characters and phonetics. Words formed in this language carry specific vibrational qualities used in invocations and scrying.
• Calls (Keys): Nineteen structured poetic Calls that tune the practitioner's consciousness to distinct layers of the celestial hierarchy. Each Call corresponds to a set of letters and a metrical pattern.
• Watchtowers & Tablets: Four elemental tablets—each aligned to East, South, West, and North—containing 36 Enochian letters and divine names. The central Great Table integrates these into a 7x7 grid of 49 cells, mapping the full spectrum of angelic rulers.
• Sigils & Seals: Individual symbols engraved or drawn to represent specific angels, governors, and powers. Used in ritual tools, mirrors, and talismans to safely focus and command entities.
• Hierarchies of Beings: A multi-tiered structure of angels, from archangels and principalities down to governors and princes. Each office has designated seals, names, and protocols for invocation.

• Scrying & Vision Work: Gazing into a crystal or mirror while reciting Enochian language to receive visual and auditory messages.
• Ceremonial Invocations: Formal rituals combining calls, tablet placements, and seal work to summon or command angelic intelligences.

This website was created to fill a gap: there wasn't a streamlined Angelic/Enochian gematria tool available online. Here you'll find:

• Versatile Gematria Calculators: Choose from Aurum Solis, Golden Dawn, Crowley, or other ciphers—each mapped to the Enochian alphabet—to explore numeric values and uncover symbolic overlaps.
• Integrated Enochian Dictionary: Look up words in the original 21-letter angelic language alongside their translations and numeric totals. There are "hackz" available to unlock an even more robust dictionary—one which stands as an improvement over the dictionary pulled from the archidox site.

By uniting gematria and Enochian linguistics in one place, this site invites practitioners and curious minds alike to explore letter-number correspondences, enrich ritual practice, and uncover fresh insights into Enochian magic.

Future Improvements

First and foremost, the enhanced dictionary will find minor updates here and again. These will come sans fanfare of any sort, and will be intermittent.

To deepen support for Enochian study, we're planning a full-text concordance of the 19 Enochian Calls (Keys). This will include:

• Accurate transcriptions of each Key in its original script
• Side-by-side translations (literal and contextual) for clearer understanding
• Word-by-word gematria values across all included ciphers
• Searchable index for line-level lookup and effortless navigation

This concordance will make the Enochian Keys easy to find, eliminate transcription errors, and become an indispensable resource for practitioners, researchers, and anyone exploring Enochiana's language.
