CAM DE ROR

What is this?

To the best of my extremely limited understanding, Liber Resh vel Helios is a devotional act. In it, 'round the clock, the practitioner reorients themselves towards the fulfillment their Will and the accomplishment of the Great Work (doing something four times a day at specific times is sure to keep it top of mind). The Sun corresponds to Tiphareth in Qabalah, which is often taken to represent the attainment of Knowledge of and Conversation with your Holy Guardian Angel.

One day, I thought, "Cool, but why not Enochian??"

And that's how I came to begin working on CAM DE ROR, and Angelic/Enochian adaptation of the practice.

Naturally, there were some difficulties I encountered when I worked out my adaptation: the Angelic language has an extremely limited vocabulary—some 2,000 words, many of them names, none of them of the Egyptian gods or goddesses. There is no word for "boat" or "ship", much less "bark". There is no word for "hail", for "prow", for "splendour", and so on.

That said, I am still somewhat proud of what I came up with. This version does orient me towards my Will and the accomplishment of the Great Work. It is still solar in nature, and the phrasing gives me joy.

So yeah, I wanted to share it. I will provide Liber Resh vel Helios for reference followed by my adaptation to the Angelic language.

Liber Resh vel Helios ¹

Let him greet the Sun at dawn, facing East, giving the sign of his grade. And let him say in a loud voice:

Hail unto Thee who art Ra in Thy rising, even unto Thee who art Ra in Thy strength, who travellest over the Heavens in Thy bark at the Uprising of the Sun. Tahuti standeth in His splendour at the prow, and Ra-Hoor abideth at the helm. Hail unto Thee from the Abodes of Night!

Also at Noon, let him greet the Sun, facing South, giving the sign of his grade. And let him say in a loud voice:

Hail unto Thee who art Ahathoor in Thy triumphing, even unto Thee who art Ahathoor in Thy beauty, who travellest over the heavens in thy bark at the Mid-course of the Sun. Tahuti standeth in His splendour at the prow, and Ra-Hoor abideth at the helm. Hail unto Thee from the Abodes of Morning!

Also, at Sunset, let him greet the Sun, facing West, giving the sign of his grade. And let him say in a loud voice:

Hail unto Thee who art Tum in Thy setting, even unto Thee who art Tum in Thy joy, who travellest over the Heavens in Thy bark at the Down-going of the Sun. Tahuti standeth in His splendour at the prow, and Ra-Hoor abideth at the helm. Hail unto Thee from the Abodes of Day!

Lastly, at Midnight, let him greet the Sun, facing North, giving the sign of his grade, and let him say in a loud voice:

Hail unto thee who art Khephra in Thy hiding, even unto Thee who art Khephra in Thy silence, who travellest over the heavens in Thy bark at the Midnight Hour of the Sun. Tahuti standeth in His splendour at the prow, and Ra-Hoor abideth at the helm. Hail unto Thee from the Abodes of Evening.

And after each of these invocations thou shalt give the sign of silence, and afterward thou shalt perform the adoration that is taught thee by thy Superior. And then do thou compose Thyself to holy meditation.

Also it is better if in these adorations thou assume the God-form of Whom thou adorest, as if thou didst unite with Him in the adoration of That which is beyond Him.

Thus shalt thou ever be mindful of the Great Work which thou hast undertaken to perform, and thus shalt thou be strengthened to pursue it unto the attainment of the Stone of the Wise, the Summum Bonum, True Wisdom and Perfect Happiness.

CAM DE ROR

In the morning (ideally at sunrise), face the East. Give the Sign of LVX (opens in a new tab). Loudly proclaim the next Angelic passage, and give the Sign of Silence (opens in a new tab) afterwards:

MICMA! DONITON NOT RAAS, MICAOLZ ADPUN. IAIDA SOBRA ZOL I ROR TABA TOL. ZIRDO HOATH OIAD. ²

In the early afternoon (ideally at noon), face the South. Give the Sign of Fire (opens in a new tab). Loudly proclaim the next Angelic passage, and give the Sign of Silence (opens in a new tab) afterwards:

MICMA! ROR FA OVOARS DE OADRIAX, OD LOHOLO VEP SALD. IAIDA SOBRA ZOL I ROR TABA TOL. ZIRDO HOATH OIAD. ³

In the evening (ideally at sunset), face the West. Give the Sign of Air (opens in a new tab). Loudly proclaim the next Angelic passage, and give the Sign of Silence (opens in a new tab) afterwards:

MICMA! ASPT BASGIM NOAR DOSIG, ROR NOT BABAGE I MOZ VEP. IAIDA SOBRA ZOL I ROR TABA TOL. ZIRDO HOATH OIAD. ⁴

During night-time (ideally at midnight), face the North. Give the Sign of Water (opens in a new tab). Loudly proclaim the next Angelic passage, and give the Sign of Silence (opens in a new tab) afterwards:
